Striking vintage butterfly brooch handcrafted in solid sterling silver and inlaid with genuine abalone shell. This piece is Sterling Silver and made in Mexico.

The brooch features a pierced sterling silver framework with hand-set abalone panels displaying vibrant natural iridescence in shades of blue, green, and purple. The construction is substantial, with a secure hinged pin and safety catch, the pin goes under the safety catch but isn’t the type that you turn to open it close. It weighs 9.9 gram and reflects the quality workmanship rather than mass production.

The silver shows a light vintage patina and may be polished upon request.
